First looking at the characters of Merylion Factor, I wasn't sure if I'd like the story or not. Reading it all.. I think it's really good.

I like commander Marisse. When I first saw her I thought she was a uber bishonen guy. I like it better that Marisse is a woman. She reminds me of the lady commander/general from Naria Valley of the Wind movie.

Come to think of it the comic does have that feeling of that movie...

Well... keep up the goodwork. I look forward to more updates.

I think that most of my stories are in reaction to some story (usually anime) I came up with basic set up and characters of MF just before I started college, so that would be before I'd ever heard of Miyazaki or Nausicaa. However, I've developed many aspects after I'd seen the film and it surprises me, looking back at it, how many aspects of the film and, even more, the Nausica comic. I think the mood and interactions of the story are very Nausicaa, even if the particulars are different. It's a story that just sort of gets in the back of your head.
