We've posted two new pages recently, and should have another up by tomorrow. The next two pages have no text, so they're fairly quick once the inks are done. However, as Maciek is pencilling, inking, scanning, and shading BYOB like a demon these days, he doesn't have too much time to ink Merylion. So, as the heading reads, we'll be updating on a non regular basis.
This winter Stacie and I hope to have another Tabloid/Merylion comic out. There are 6 more pages (besides what's already posted) of Merylion that will be in the issue, and that will round out the "first chapter" of the story. It will be 4 chapters total - I like 4 part stories, they have a nice rhythm to them.
I'm not fond of first chapters of my stories. Not because of content, but because they're so much set up and laying groundwork. Even the action is more to introduce the reader to what the world/characters are all about. Second chapters are much more to my liking because things start to progress and change. Ideas that the readers thought they understood turn out to be wrong or only partially correct. Plans don't go as characters think they will, and over all energy flows because the actual story is in motion.
First chapters are important, but I can't talk too much about them for fear of giving stuff away, later chapters have something to react to. Anyway, back to work and I have an exam this evening. What fun.

updated!
somehow, I managed to place the new page on the scanner, correct side down, save the file, photoshop it down to web size, and put it up. All without too many fumbles. Pretty amazing how an instinctive memory of the path previously taken can save the day when you're too asleep to know what it is you're doing...
g'night!

Wow! snuck that in there. (I just had to go and post an update on OC)
I should set up the pagescan, so you can't sneak it past!
Way to go guys! Crazy! That's 2 pages of Mery and one Byob for the week!
